Hey everyone!

Welcome to my new website! I am glad you decided to drop by.

Let me start by giving you a brief rundown of what the site is about, why I made the site and how I got to where I am today.

First of all, back in the summer of 2004, I found myself very much overweight and at a point in my life to where I just couldn't believe what I had done to myself.

All throughout high school, I maintained a healthy weight, but then after, I found myself continously going out drinking, hanging out with friends in bars/clubs, staying out all night and eating the most unhealthiest foods of foods.

Needless to say, I went from 145lbs out of high school to a whopping 183lbs in just a few years.

Now granted I did have two children. My first one at 18 and my second at 21, but after both deliveries, I seem to lose all of that pregnancy weight within a matter of months. Pretty cool, huh?

Let's go back to 2004. I decided when I took some pictures of myself in a swimsuit that it was time to do something about my lifestyle. I did some online searching, found a coach down in Charleston, SC. He and his wife worked with me for 16 weeks and I had lost all the way back down to my high school weight. Wow!! I was stoked!! Hey, I even competed in an NPC sanctioned figure competition and got 2nd place.

After that, I was hooked. I continued training with my coach and his wife (Tres Bennett and Shannon Meteraud) and just kept looking better and better over time. My second show, I came in 3rd place and then my last, I came in 2nd again.

Well guess what?

7 days before my fourth competition I found out that I was pregnant with my 3rd child. Not to mention I had just gotten married the same month. Needless to say, I didn't enter the fourth competition.

During my pregnancy, I ate terrible foods and didn't workout at all. I remember sitting down and eating gallons of ice cream, alot of chocolate and sleeping until noon almost everyday.

Therefore, I found myself in a doctors office crying my eyes out and not because I was pregnant. It was because I was depressed. I was depressed so much that it was difficult for me to even leave my house.

The doctor put me on medication, I started feeling great again, but then came that 9th month of pregnancy. You know the one that you can't seem to get comfortable when you sleep, feel like everything is about to fall out on the floor, month.

I gave birth to a healthy 8lbs 9ounce boy on Feb 16, 2006 and guess what I weighed when I came home from the hospital? Yep...216lbs!!!

Not only did that throw me back into a depression, it made me pull away from my husband because I felt terrible about walking around so huge, while here he is competing in bodybuilding in tip top shape.

In fact, he did a show and won his class when the baby was just a few weeeks old. During the show, I seen all the beautiful female bodybuilders, fitness competitors and figure athletes that I decided on my way home that day, I was getting myself back into shape.

I DID IT TOO!!

I got all the way back down into the 140's and was feeling AWESOME!! Until one day, my husband came home and asked me if I would be willing to go to INDIA for his job.

My initial respone was, WHAT? INDIA? ARE YOU CRAZY?

However we all got packed up, tied up loose ends and was in India within a couple of months.

While being there, I found myself being waited on hand and foot. We had 3 maids and a driver. I got to sit around, eat whatever I wanted (no American food there and don't even think about eating a cow) and yep, you guessed it, the weight skyrocketed again.

We were there for 1 year and when we returned to the USA I weighed 189lbs!! Can you believe that?

However, as soon I could, I joined a gym, starting back into my healthy eating habits and have lost 47lbs since Feb.

Recently, I hired a new coach his name is Matt Helton and he is located right here in our hometown, so it's very convienient for me to meet up with him, train with him and get critiqued.

He also helps me with my diet, which is going very well right now. I really feel like I have control again of what I not once, not twice, but 3 times let go of and I vow to myself that it will NEVER happen again by Gods grace of course.

With all of this being said, I am on my way to a new, better me and decided to make this website for people to follow along with my progress and hopefully you find some inspiration and motivation along the way.

This is my way of holding myself accountable.

This is my journey and I want YOU to go with me.

So whether you just stumbled upon the site, clicked a link myself or someone else posted up somewhere or you know me personally, I hope that you will find some useful information here and feel welcomed here at all times.
